Asbestos is found in many buildings built between 1950 and 2000 as it was an excellent building material for insulation. However, it was later discovered that the particles within asbestos can be dangerous if they become airborne, with scientists linking it to various medical conditions, some of which can be fatal.
Therefore, it is important that all properties, which could contain asbestos, are fully surveyed before work commences, to avoid asbestos particles becoming airborne.
At Titan we have specialists who are able to detect whether a property contains asbestos as well as take samples of the relevant material for checks to be made at the laboratory. These results will be provided within 24 hours of the samples being taken, to ensure the process moves as quickly as possible.
Should the tests be found positive then Titan is able to arrange for the asbestos to be removed from the site safely and securely allowing restoration works to begin.
